A curated 5 Nights / 6 Days journey combining the Eastern Himalayas and the wildlife landscapes of Assam. Experience the scenic mountain towns of Bomdila, Dirang and Tawang, explore Himalayan viewpoints and monasteries, and conclude with a memorable wildlife experience in Kaziranga National Park including a jeep safari.

Daywise Tour Itinerary

DAY
1 Guwahati – Bomdila | Gateway to the Eastern Himalayas

Pickup from Guwahati and drive towards Bomdila, the gateway to the Eastern Himalayas. En route, transit through Bhalukpong as required and continue the scenic mountain journey towards Bomdila. Upon arrival, check in at Hotel Tsepal Yangzom and relax for the evening.

DAY
2 Bomdila → Tawang

After breakfast, drive from Bomdila to Tawang via the scenic Sela Tunnel. To make the journey comfortable and save travel time, sightseeing stops are kept minimal on this day. Enjoy the changing Himalayan landscapes as you ascend towards Tawang. On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Hotel Tawang Hight, Tawang.

DAY
3 Tawang → Bumla Excursion

After breakfast, proceed for the Bumla Pass excursion, subject to permit, weather and Army clearance. Visit Bumla Pass, Madhuri Lake, PT Tso Lake and Shree Swayambhu Lake. Return to Tawang by evening. Overnight stay at Hotel Tawang Hight, Tawang.

DAY
4 Tawang → Dirang

After breakfast, depart Tawang for Dirang. En route, visit Jang Waterfall, Jaswant Garh and Sela Pass, followed by a scenic drive through the Sela Tunnel. After check-in at Dirang, explore Mandala Top, Sangti Valley and Dirang Dzong, subject to available time and road conditions. Overnight stay at Hotel Riksel, Dirang.

DAY
5 Dirang → Kaziranga

After breakfast, drive towards Kaziranga through the scenic landscapes of Assam. If time permits, visit the Orchid Research & Centre at Bhalukpong. Continue the journey to Kaziranga and check in at the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Villa The Retreat, Kaziranga.

DAY
6 Kaziranga → Guwahati

After breakfast, proceed for a morning Jeep Safari in Kaziranga National Park. After the safari, return and continue the journey towards Guwahati. On arrival, the tour concludes with drop-off at the airport or designated location.
