Daywise Tour Itinerary

Tour Guests will arrive at Gauwahati Airport as per their scheduled flight. Upon arrival, they will meet our tour manager at the airport and proceed to Kaziranga.


 

Today's activities will start early in the morning from Elephant Safari and the afternoon Jeep Safari.

Today, we move to Dirang and explore Sangti valley, two of the most serene and picturesque destinations in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. Known as the gateway to Tawang, Dirang is a high-altitude plateau (approx. 1,560m) famous for its mild climate, hot springs, and ancient fort, while Sangti Valley is a secluded gem just 10 km away, celebrated for its meandering river and as a winter home for rare migratory.

The journey from Dirang to Tawang is a scenic high-altitude drive along National Highway 13, covering approximately 130–140 km. 

The route crosses some of the most iconic landmarks in Arunachal Pradesh -

Today, we start from Tawang Monastery,also known in Tibetan as Gaden Namgyal Lhatse ("divine paradise of complete victory"), is the largest Buddhist monastery in India and the second-largest in the world after the Potala Palace in Lhasa. 

 Founded in 1680–1681 by Merak Lama Lodre Gyatso at the request of the 5th Dalai Lama. It is also famously associated with the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama.

Today we visit Bumla pass - via 

  • Panga teng Tso - This is a pristine high altitude lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks. It is known for its calm waters and is often the first major stop on the route.
  • Madhuri Lake (Sangester lake) - Made famous by the Bollywood movie Koyla, this lake was formed by an earthquake and is characterized by dead tree trunks rising from its water. It is located about 16 km from the 
  • Gribtsang Tso (Nagula Lake) - A high-altitude glacial lake (approx. 13,500 ft) that remains forzen for msot of the year. It is a quick stop for photography due to its scenic mountain reflections.
  • Bumla pass -  is a high-altitude mountain pass at 15,200 ft (4,633 m) situated on the Indo-China border in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh. It serves as a critical strategic point, marking the Line of Actual Control (LAC), and is one of the five officially agreed Border Personnel Meeting (BPM) points between the Indian Army and the People's Liberation Army of China.
